UVCT Childline at Kalyan Station, Maharashtra set up a new help desk at the station on 30.09.2021. The newly build kiosk was inaugurated by Sh. Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Sh. Dhanraj Khare, Sr. Program Coordinator, CHILDLINE India Foundation, attended the programme on behalf of CIF. Ms. Meenal Thakore, Ex-Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Thane briefed the Chief Guest and other accompanying officials about UVCT project. Sh. Ashok Yadav, program coordinator, UVCT Childline, oriented about the process followed for safeguarding the children, referring them to CWC, taking them to shelter home till they are handed over to their parents. A total of 1387 children have benefitted from the services offered by UVCT, Kalyan team at the Helpdesk.

Launch of Saksham II - The first Principal’s meet was held in the gracious presence of the Chairman Dr. U N B Rao and Vice Chairman Mrs. Urivi Chaya Rao. The Deputy Education Officer of North East Mumbai inaugurated the meet. The MGL officials, Mrs. Neera Asthana (Deputy Manager - CSR), Mr. Nishant Sinha (CSR - Manager), Mrs. Namita Vanmalli also graced the occasion with their presence.
